About The Teacher

Mrs. Madill was born and raised in the Northland area of Kansas City.  She 
graduated with honors from Winnetonka High School in 1986.  She attended the 
University of Missouri-Columbia for three semesters and completed her 
degree in Social Studies Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-
Kansas City in 1990.  She taught for a few years at Park Hill High School.  
She got married to Jeff Madill in 1992 and quit teaching to support her 
husband in his professional hockey career.  They have two children, 
Morgann,14, and Matthew, 11.  Mrs. Madill returned to teaching after her 
children were school aged.  She taught for five years at Life Christian 
Academy. Mrs. Madill received her Masters of Science in Education in 2005 
from Southwest Baptist University. This will be her third year at Barry 
Elementary.
She spends most of her time traveling around the country (including Canada) 
watching her daughter play ice hockey or sitting at the ball fields watching 
her son play baseball.

My Class Mission

My class mission is to provide a safe and quality learning environment for 
all students.  I believe that it is my job to NEVER take the hope of a 
future away from a student.  I  believe each student has talents and gifts 
that can ensure them success in the future if they are nurtured and 
developed properly by myself and other educators.
