Announcements

Welcome to my website! I am sending a weekly newsletter electronically. If
you are not getting it, please contact me by email, call me (636 851 4286) or
send a note with your child. If you do not have an email, I will make a hard
copy and send it to you in your child's Tuesday folder.

On this website, grades are updated weekly, and homework is usually changed
daily. Remember that your child can and should correct any paper below 60%.
I will average the grades, with the top possible score being 70 %.

Reminder:
Please sign your child’s agenda daily. Tuesday, your child’s work will come
home in a folder. Please sign the folder and return it with your child.
Please keep the papers.

Please send a note and call the office when your child is out of school.

To access your child's grades, your child’s username is their classroom
number, and their password is their lunch number.

I will keep this updated with homework, as well as grades.

I will be posting the students' grades, usually on a Monday. The percentages
for social studies, health and spelling will be pretty accurate. I will be
taking other things than just the percentages into account for the students'
final grade. In math, you can look where it says "Grades for %." That will
be the percent that will be used mostly for the math grade. I will use the
other scores for the different skills within math. As far as reading and
writing, you can use the grades to monitor work completion and work
quality. Even though there are percentages, it is not the only basis for
your child's The Reading percentages are grades I give a percentage to. The
Reading and Writing Numbers are the ones are given a 1-4 . A 3 is NOT a 75%,
but an indication that your child is right where they need to be with that
skill. You can check their progress by putting in your child's classroom
number (it will be 1-26) for student ID, and putting in their lunch number
for pin number.

Parents-Please practice the following skills with your child:
Fifth Grade Families- Read, write and compare numbers to 1,000,000,
unit fractions, decimals to hundredths, recognize and generate equivalent
forms of fractions and decimals, describe whole, prime, and composite
numbers, add/sub/mult/div 3 by 2 digit numbers, and describe common factors
and multiples.

Remember, we are collecting soup labels.
