About The Teacher
August, 2011 Dear Students, Welcome to 6th grade! I know that this year will be a fun-filled learning experience. I have been teaching 6th grade in Carl Junction for the past six years and in Missouri for nine years; perhaps I have taught someone you know. Like many of you, I live in Carl Junction. In my class we will have plenty of opportunities to express ourselves through various types of writing and reading choices. Don’t worry… we will have daily exercises to strengthen our reading and grammar muscles, too! I am so excited to greet all of you on August 17th, the first day of school. I am also looking forward to meeting your parents on Open House Night at 7:30 on Monday, August 15th. If you have misplaced your school supply list, you can find it posted on my web site. Also, I would recommend that you bring a sweatshirt, jacket, or sweater to keep in your locker; the air conditioning in our classroom is a bit unpredictable. My room number is 11, and my homeroom lockers will be right outside the door. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Fondly, Mrs. Lowry
