About The Teacher
Dear Parents, Can you believe it's already time for school? We are in store for a great year! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and what's in store for this coming year. I have been married for 23 years, and have 2 children who keep me very busy. My oldest son, Cameron, is going to be a senior at MSSU, and my youngest, Caitlyn, will be a junior at CJHS. I enjoy being a part of all of their activities and feel my job as Mom is very important. I have been in the Carl Junction School District for 12 years. This will be my 11th year as a second grade teacher. During the year, your child will have various types of homework. Your child will probably have reading homework almost every night. We will be asking you to sign a reading sheet each day. They will also have spelling words to study at home. I will try to keep homework to a minimum. I feel that home time should be just that. If your child fails to return a homework assignment, they will need to do it during the following recess period. When they are finished, they may go out to recess. I am excited to begin the year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or come by. The school number is 649-7034.
