About The Teacher
My name is Debbie Starks and I will be your child's teacher this year. I want to tell you a little about myself. I am a hometown girl, I went to school in Carl Junction grades 1 - 12. I received my Bachlor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphisis in Early Childhood at Missouri Southern State College, a few years later I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at William Woods University. My husband and I live in Carl Junction and we have two grown children. My son and his wife have blessed us with two little boys and just a few weeks ago a little granddaughter, they are a joy in our lives. My daughter is a manager at Wal-Mart where she has worked for the last 10 years. We all spend a lot of time together having fun as a family. I am excited to have your child in my classroom and hope that it will be a year filled with fun and excitement for your child. We will be exploring several different themes and learning many new and exciting things during the year. I hope that you will be a big part of your child's first year of school, I believe that working together we can make it a wonderful experience for your child. Please feel free to call me at the school if you ever have any questions or concerns, if I can not speak to you right away, I will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for all you do.
