At the beginning of each week students will bring home their Monday folder.  
In this folder you will find the weekly newsletter as well as graded papers.
Please look over the graded papers and keep them at home and post the
newsletter in a safe place.

Spelling Lists will be placed in the Daily Folder at the beginning of each
week.* Post the spelling list in a safe place.  Students should study the
spelling words nightly. We will take a spelling pretest on Wednesdays and the
post test on Fridays.

Math homework will come home Monday, Tuesday,and Thursday nights and should be
turned in the following day.  In third grade students learn the multiplication
facts.  I will send home flash cards and ideas for fun ways to study the facts
throughout the school year.

Starting September 1st students will be bringing home monthly reading logs.  
Students should read 20 minutes each evening and log in their reading logs.  
At the end of each month the reading log will be collected and scored 
accroding to the number of minutes logged and the completion of the activity 
on the back of the log.  Students will receive a coupon for a free personal 
pan pizza from Pizza Hut through the Book-It Program if they log at least 400 
minutes per month.

*(The Daily Folder comes home each day with a "Class Notes" page as well
as any homework.  This folder should be returned to school daily.)
