I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Break! I had a busy but fun few
days.

Our Christmas program is next week on December 8th. The kids will bring home
a note closer to that time giving specific details about time, location and
what to wear.

I am hoping to complete our multiplication times tests in the next two
weeks. So please practice as much as possible with your child so they can
complete their times test up to nine and get their reward! We will soon be
moving on to division in math and if your child doesn't know their
muultiplication facts, it will be difficult.

As a reminder, we do not exchange gifts for Christmas, we go to a movie at
the theater. We will have a short "party" on the movie day as well.
However, due to the short day and the movie we don't have time for much. If
you would like to help with food or drinks please let me know. You can
either send an email or give me a call. Thanks!

As we approach the holidays the kids get very excited, which is to be
expected and welcomed! Yet, the classroom rules and expectations remain the
same. Having said this, I want to remind everyone of our BIST procedures:

*If a child is asked to stop a disruptive or harmful behavior but is unable
to follow through, they will be asked to move to our safe area. After I
process with them (or talk with them about the issue) they will move back to
their own seat.
*If the behavior presents itself again, the buddy room may be utilized. This
is another classroom where the student goes to regroup and fill out
a "thinksheet" about the problem and how they can work on the issue.
*If a child has the same issue, repeatedly, they then may be sent to the
recover room, where they process with the recovery room teacher. To return
to class they must accept responsibilty for their actions. A form from the
recovery room teacher will come home to be signed and you will hear form me
as well.

I'm sure we won't have many issues to deal with but I wanted to refresh you
in our classroom managment procedures.

Thanks so much!!
