A Visit to the White House

Board the moving sidewalk, boys and girls. We're going to ride all the way to 
Washington, D. C. There's so much to see there, the Washington Monument, 
Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol...but today we'll focus on the White House. 
Number your paper 1-5 and head for your computer to learn all about our 
destination. Ready...set...go!

Let's calculate just how many actual miles we will be traveling. Click on the 
link below to open Mapquest. Under starting location, type in our name and 
address: Hannibal-LaGrange College; 2800 Palmyra Rd, Hannibal, MO. Then move 
your cursor to the ending location and type in The White House; 1600 
Pennsylvania Ave NW.; Washington, D. C. Click get directions. From the column 
on the left, choose option 1. Scroll down the page to discover the total 
number of miles. Write that answer by number 1 on your paper.
