Dear Parents,
I hope this letter finds you somewhat organized for Christmas and enjoying the season!
Another big “Thank you” to Jennifer Knapp and all of you who helped in any way to organize our gingerbread house project. This is a monumental task to locate all of the items needed, to cut the milk cartons, prepare them and the cardboard, to cut the graham crackers, and then to organize it so it can be completed in an orderly fashion. Thanks to all of you who carved out a morning during this very busy time to spend it with your child making a gingerbread house. The children were so excited and thoroughly enjoyed the sticky mess! (The joys of Christmas!!!) Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This week will be filled with Christmas activities. Amidst all of that we will try to work in academic studies, as well! We will read a fun story about our quarters with the states on them. We will review the skills we have learned over the past month. We will have new spelling words, but we will not have a spelling test this week so we can kick back somewhat and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere! Of course, in religion we will be discussing the birth of our Lord. We will finally finish this chapter in math.
Friday is our Christmas party. Thanks to all of you who are working so hard during this busy time to prepare things for it. I am so lucky to have such wonderful parents to help with these special activities!
I want to wish all of you a wonderful, blessed, and restful holiday season. May the Holy Infant bring you much happiness during our new year of 2010 and always. Enjoy the time with your children, your families, and with the after season sales!!! Only 10 more shopping days left!!!
“You have nothing to fear! I come to proclaim good news to you—tidings of great joy to be shared by the whole people.” Luke 2:10
