November 23, 2009
Dear Parents,
I would like for each child to bring in an object or a picture of
something or someone they are thankful for within his or her life
on Wednesday, November 25, 2009. This will take the place of our
Show and Tell for this week.
There will be an early dismissal (12:05 p.m.) to begin the
Thanksgiving Day holiday on Wednesday, November, 25, 2009. The
parking lot will close at 12:00 p.m. on that day for carpool.
All of the Kindergarten classes are requesting that each Kindergartner
brings in a small canned ham (available at Walgreens, etc.) to be
donated to St. Wenceslaus Food Pantry by this Friday, November 21st.
The collection of these food items will take place at the time of the
Offertory at the special Thanksgiving Liturgy at Holy Infant on
Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Thank you for your continued support
in helping the poor!
Please make note that the Kindergarten classes will only be present
during the procession of the Thanksgiving Liturgy to bring their
canned hams up to the altar. They will then return to their classes
after this procession.
The Kindergarten Christmas Music Program will take place on Tuesday,
December 15, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in Rosario Hall. Parents, grandparents,
and siblings are welcomed to attend. Mrs. Nealon has been working very
diligently with the children in practicing their songs for this special
event. She has asked if each child to bring in a red and white Santa
hat to wear during the Christmas program. Please labeled the hat with
your child's name and send it into school by Monday, November 20, 2009.
Thank you for your cooperation!
As always, thank you so much for giving your child an opportunity to
contribute to the Missions within our classroom. It makes me very
happy to see the children take pride in supporting the Missions.
The Clifford presentations have been enjoyed by everyone in our class,
including me. Thank you for allowing Clifford to be a member of your
family for a weekend!
Please check with your child to see if he or she is in need of more
pencils, crayons, glue sticks or coloring book. If possible, please
have your child purchase a larger size glue stick as the glue seems to
stay on the stick better and not fall off so easily after a couple of
uses for art projects. Some of the children are in need of these school
supplies as some have been broken or they are too small to use for their
school work.
MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE A BLESSED THANKSGIVING DAY!
Thank you! - Mrs. Church
