RELIGION:

The children will continue working in Chapter 9 (God Made Us).  They will
learn how God made us and loves us very much. 
 
MATH:

The children will finish up Chapter 3 (Positions) this week and begin
Chapter 4 (Numbers 0 to 10).  They will learn how:
 
- To show one-to-one correspondence.
- To identify groups with the same number of objects.
- To make groups with as many objects as a given group.
 
LANGUAGE ARTS:

Your children will learn these skills throughout this week:
 
- Identify and form the letters 'Tt' and 'Cc'.
- Identify initial and final 'Tt' and 'Cc' sounds.
- Identify and discriminate between the letters 'Tt' and 'Cc'.
- Identify and describe opposites.
- Understand how to distinguish between fantasy and reality
  within a story.
- Use information to understand and make predictions about
  a story.
- Identify and read the high-frequency word 'are'.
    
HANDWRITING:
 
The children are continuing to learn how vertical lines (short and long),
slanted lines (right and left), horizontal lines and circles enables them
in the writing of the alphabet (upper and lowercase) letters.  I am so
proud of the progress the children are making in their handwriting!!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
ART:
 
To help celebrate Thanksgiving Day, the children made pilgrims
(male and female).  They will also be making some Indians this week
to join the pilgrims displayed in the Primary hallway to remind us
what people were present at the first Thanksgiving Day feast..
 
SOCIAL STUDIES:
 
The children will continue to learn about turkeys and the celebration
of the First Thanksgiving Day feast (who was present, what types
of food were served during this special feast, etc.) this week.
