RELIGION:

The children will begin Chapter 14 (Christmas) this week.  They will learn that
we celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas. 
 
MATH:

The children are working in Chapter 4 (Numbers 0 to 10).  They will learn how:
 
- To equalize sets by drawing more objects..
- To identify, show, and draw groups of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 objects.
- To use ordinals numbers (first through fifth) to identify position.
 
LANGUAGE ARTS:

Your children will continue to learn these skills throughout this week:
- Identify and form the letters 'Oo'.
- Identify initial and final 'Oo' sounds.
- Distinguish between fantasy and reality within a story.
- Identify above, on, and below.
- Review, discriminate between, and use initial and medial 'Oo'.
- Blend and read short 'o' and 'i' words.
- Identify and read the high-frequency words you, are, my, and that.

HANDWRITING:
 
The children are continuing to learn how vertical lines (short and long),
slanted lines (right and left), horizontal lines and circles enables them
in the writing of the alphabet (upper and lowercase) letters.  I am so
proud of the progress the children are making in their handwriting!

ART:

The children will be making "Holly People" this week.
