HERE'S  OUR  WEEK - NOV.30 - DEC. 4, 2009

Thank you, parents,  for all you did to prepare your child for the play and the Mass. Everyone enjoyed their play performances, and the Mass was a beautiful, reverant celebration.
As many of you know, the AR system was not working most of last week, so the children have until Thursday to complete their testing for the November Independent Reading Goal. The book report directions for December will be posted this week. As soon as the children have met their November goal, they'll start getting credit for December when they take an AR test.
The poster contest for drug and alcohol abuse is optional for third grade, but last year, children who entered received a certificate of participation in the spring. The contest is required in the upper grades.

 MONDAY - This is the first week of Advent
             Feast of St. Andrew.
             PE -Wear gym shoes
            Library - bring books; be prepared to test if you haven't met your November Independent Reading Goal.
Tonight, study vocabulary in reading and science, and study multiplication facts.

TUESDAY - Math - Chapter 8 practice test
Tonight, review Chapter 8 in Religion, review Science pages D13-D19, review the study guide for verbs.

WEDNESDAY - Religion - Test on Chapter 8, open - book quiz in science
Tonight, get your math practice test signed and return it, study vocabulary and study guides.

THURSDAY - PE - wear gym shoes
Math - Chapter 8 test; grammar quiz on past -tense verbs; last day to reach the November goal.
Tonight - study spelling lesson 13 words, reread THE PATCHWORK QUILT.

FRIDAY - All-school Mass; spelling test -lesson 13; story quiz
