Greetings everyone,
Looks like winter is finally here. Please be sure and send your child to school with a warm coat, gloves and a hat. It's chilly at recess time.
We have a chapter 5 math test on Friday. This chapter is divided into two tests; one on adding fractions and one on subtracting fractions.
The test on Friday involves adding fractions.
Rocks and Minerals is the next unit in science. It is a short chapter, with three lessons and two labs. The test will be Thursday, Dec. 17.
Some students may need to finish their research on their explorer at home. Their trading cards need to be finished in computer class next week. We will begin research this week on the original 13 colonies. Each student has been assigned a colony to research. This will be done at school. They are starting to invent a colonial character as well. They should be deciding on names, occupations, and age. Later this week the students will be writing their final letter to their living history partners. If your child's partner has not responded to the last letter, please assist in finding out when they will send their letter. In January we begin the biographies which will be done mainly at home.
Don't forget the primary Advent Concert this Friday!
