Welcome to the blessed month of December!

Make note of my newsletter which will be coming home on the first Friday of
this month. There is a good deal of information that is quick to read here.

This will be a fast moving month as there are so many fun activities . We
start off with our study of Advent. We will be charting this month with an
Advent calendar and a personal Advent Booklet.

Students truly seemed to enjoy our "Arthur" book week and it's extended
activities. I hope your child shared their "Arthur" book report at home.

Students are also working hard on preparing for the Advent Musical. The
evening performance will be on Dec.11th at 7:00 in Church. See you There!!

Your children certainly enjoyed performing their parable skits in class! They
were soooo good, we performed them for our 1st grade friends. Applause please!

Look for some interesting Christmas choral reads and shorter rhyming skits at
the end of this month. Information will be coming home soon.

In Math class, Geometry will soon be in full swing and the students will be
involved in some hands-on activities. This will include geoboards, symmetry
trees, attribute block designs, and the construction of toothpick marshmellow
shapes! With all this math fun, the Geometry chapter will NOT be pre-tested
for a pull out challenge group.

Creativeness is sure to abound with our "If I were an angel looking upon the
Nativity" stories. These will be displayed the second week of this month. Hope
you can stop by to read a few!

Students are excited to begin Cursive handwriting this month. New pencils with
fresh, clean erasers are important. (St. Nick hint!)

Check out my Mass link. We will be hosting this month!!

Students will soon be making me a Christmas skirt! Ask about their artistic
contribution during the 2nd week of this month. It will debut on Dec. 18th!!

Sooooo....bundle up and enjoy each other as you work together preparing for
the coming of our Savior!!
