I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Education, with a Lifetime Elementary
Certification from the University of Missouri and hold a Masters Degree in
Education from Webster University. I taught 5th and 6th grades in the same
elementary school for 14 years in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. I
also have Religious training, DWP training,am Spire certified, and taught 2nd
grade PSR at Cure of Ars Catholic Church for 9 years. This is my 5th and a
third year here at Incarnate Word Parish School. I am married and have
one son and one daughter. Our children attended both Catholic grade schools
and high schools. We have a Loyola University graduate with an accounting job
in Chicago and a sophomore daughter at Missouri University in Columbia. While
I took a break from teaching to be a "stay at home" mom, I did all the
voluntary jobs that so many of you do: ran a volunteer high school bookstore,
was head room mom, chairman of the class fundraiser, Girl Scout leader for 9
years, Boy Scout merit badge counselor, edited the yearbook, and Bellarmine
speech judge. In my spare time,I enjoy cooking, exercising, reading and
spending time with my family and friends.I truly love teaching and I am
thrilled to be teaching your 2nd graders here at Incarnate Word Parish School.
My mission for this class is to instill a love of learning into each child.
Drawing on each students' God given talents and strengths, I expect them to
give their best efforts daily, treat each other with mutual respect, and live
as God teaches us.
