Homework in 2nd Grade is given nightly Monday through Thursday.

We use and rely heavily on our assignment notebooks. Homework assignments 
are copied from the board and written in the students daily notebook each 
and every day immediately after lunch recess. This is sent home in their 
backpack with the needed materials to complete their homework. Please take a 
few minutes to review the assignments and then sign or initial in the 
appropriate daily column. Besides the homework, the assignment notebook is 
checked daily by me! This is also a quick way for you and I to communicate 
on a daily basis. Feel free to comment or ask a question in the space 
provided.

In addition to the Mon. through Thurs. homework, please read nightly with 
your child for at least 20 minutes and spend 5 to 10 minutes practicing the 
memorization of the addition and subtraction facts.

You may also want to note that a weekly book report is due on Thursdays and 
a weekly math facts quiz is also given on Thursdays.
