CONGRATULATIONS to all Second Graders!! I know most everyone was nervous but
they all did a super job!!! Even Father said they knew what they were doing.
I am very proud of my class, they all were prepared for their first time
confessing their sins to God. We all need to be extremely grateful for
having such a loving and forgiving Father. I was very impressed with the
number of families receiving God's forgiveness in addition to the first time
recipients. That is a true witness to God's love! Please keep in mind that
your children can now go to Reconciliation anytime. I hope you will continue
to practice this sacrament together as a family, at least for a few years.
It means a lot to the children to witness God's love as a family as well as
alone.
Next week your child is going to recite an oral book report. I sent home the
information last Tuesday with the specifics of what exactly they need to do.
It is only to last a FEW minutes. This is not a production. It is just a
short report to share with classmates about different books that have been
read throughout the class. Be sure your child is ready on Monday, Nov. 23rd.
Also, you can probably guess that there will not be a book report or facts
quiz the following week of Thanksgiving. Take a break and enjoy this special
time together as family. We all have a great deal to be thankful for, I hope
we can reflect on this for a short time this next week and thank God for all
our blessings he has bestowed upon us. The list is endless.
I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
We thank you God,
Marie Parisot
