Freshmen Homeroom S4

August 15, 2008

Greetiings Wonderful Members of Freshmen Homeroom S4,

Welcome to Nerinx Hall H.S. I am looking forward to meeting you and getting
to know you. Our first meeting will be on Aug. 15, 2008 during your Freshmen
orientation. I"ll see you soon. Enjoy the remainder of your summer.

Ms. Deborah Casias Noonan

Below you will find some tips for being a Freshman Hostess

Welcoming: Be on time and in uniform. SMILE! Shake your visitor's hand as
you introduce yourself,
and introduce yourself to the parents.

Etiquette: Treat your visitor like a friend. Walk with her in the halls.
Include her in your
conversations. Share positive Nerinx stories and information (contact time,
schedule, clubs, etc.) and
don't talk about other schools.

Classes: Introduce your visitor to your teacher and class. Bring books (no
Magazines) for her to look
at in case it's a test day. Give her a tour of the school during free time.

Gift Giving: It might be a nice idea to welcome your visitor with a little
gift. (Nerinx pencils, pens, notepads, are sold in the Bookstore).

Lunch: Make a special effort to make your visitor feel comfortable at lunch.
Seat her next to you and always make her feel included. If she is buying
lunch, stand in line with her.

Goodbye: Walk your visitor out and acknowledge her parents. Thank her for
spending a day at Nerinx and tell her you enjoyed meeting her.
