All About Mrs. McLain


Parents & Students,

       Hello! My name is Mrs. Jessica (Murdick) McLain. I am a 5th grade Communication Arts teacher at NCIS and I am an assistant volleyball coach at Mineral Area College.  This is my fifth year teaching and I am very excited! I am married to a PE teacher and coach at NCHS, Chris McLain. We live in Bonne Terre with our Weimaraner, Tallulah. God blessed us with a baby boy {Rypken Michael McLain} on November 16, 2011 and we could not be happier!!!
       I have many pastimes that range from blogging, to playing volleyball, to singing in community events (such as the big Baby Boomer concerts) and with my musical family The Wallens.  I recently retired from the classic rock band Alter Ego, and the popular regional band GTO that I was part of for many years. Now, I attend New Heights Church and am part of the Saturday night praise team.
      I am very hands-on and I love to be optimistic. If you should need to reach me anytime I check my email (jmclain@ncsd.k12.mo.us) periodically during the day. This website will have assignments, special dates, etc. located on it. Remember school starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:43 p.m. I appreciate any parent who wants to be a part of their child’s educational success!
