Each student in 7B and 8 will be required to do a book review this quarter using the directions below. The procedure has been discussed with both classes, and they know what is expected. There are four sets of these directions called "Novel Ideas" in the classroom that are available to the students during learning lab time or any time the teacher designates for that purpose. New ideas are added occasionally to the web page but may not be immediately available in the sets in the classroom. Check the web page often.
Putting the set of directions on my web site will give the students the opportunity to work on this project at home.
The set of directions in the classroom are color coded, but they are not on this page; therefore, the card color has been typed on top of each set of directions.
Select a book.
Read the book carefully.
When you are finished, write the title, author, and your name on the cover page.
Choose 5 pink cards, 3 blue cards, and 1 orange card from the ring.
Complete the directions on each card by writing your responses on your paper.
Ideally, your report should be typed.
Proofread and edit your work.
