Fourth Quarter Math Concepts for Sixth Grade:
The students will continue to review and master their skills with fractions and mixed numbers. They
will then use these skills as they work with the concepts of ratio, proportion and percent. The students
will then explore integers and their operations.
Fourth Quarter Math Concepts for Seventh Grade:
The students will continue their work with patterns, expressions and equations. They will develop their
algebra skills by moving from evaluating to writing expressions and to writing and solving equations
and inequalities. The students will then work on expanding their proportional reasoning as they work
with ratios, proportions and percents.
Fourth Quarter Math Concepts for Eighth Grade:
The students will continue their work solving multistep equations and inequalities, which require a
variety of skills with rational numbers and algebraic properties. They will then develop their skills with
proportional reasoning as they build their skills with fractions, decimals and percents.
