   Homework will be sent home most nights of the week.  The homework will be over what students learned earlier in the day.  Students should attempt to do the homework on their own before asking for help.  At this point you can help them but also let me know if you feel they may need more time with something.

 

   In the classroom we have a red/yellow/green light system that we go by.  GREEN means you're good to go, YELLOW means slow down and think about your actions, and RED means stop, we need to talk.  All children start out at GREEN everyday.  If a child breaks a rule he/she will be asked to change their light.  Once they change their light they will also have to fill out a pink form that states why they had to change their light and what they are going to do to solve the problem.  This form will then be sent home for the parent to review, sign, and send back to school the following day.  Also when a child changes their light to yellow they lose 5 minutes of recess and when they change it to red they lose 10 minutes of recess and will be asked to have a discussion with the teacher.
