to, not a replacement for, the Assignment Notebook provided for all
students. Students are expected to keep Assignment Notebooks current every
day. I will do my best to see that what is posted on this site and what is
in your child's Assignment Notebook match. Homework will posted for two
weeks as a courtesy to those who miss class due to illness.

Kindergarten:
We are working on Nursery rhymes this month.
1st Grade:
We are working on So and Mi pitches.
2nd Grade:
We are working on So, Mi, La pitches, rhythmic imitation and question and answer, and reviewing
dynamics.
3rd Grade:
We worked on Mi, Re, and Do pitches singing and writing on the staff. We also worked on Song Form
by listening to "Sabre Dance" by Khachaturian.
4th Grade:
We are continuing to work on rhythm patterns with 16th notes and will have a quiz next class period on
counting and clapping 4 beat patterns with 16th notes.
5th Grade:
We are working on 2 part singing.
6th, 7th and 8th:
Quiz next week over the words to "God of Great and God of Small," and "Goliath." Extra credit for
creating a pictograph or other memory aid tool that also demonstrates the form of the songs. (larger
sections labeled with capitol letters).
