CURRICULUM: The 6th, 7th and 8th grades will be focusing on blues, jazz and spirituals as we prepare a program for February. Students will continue to study the elements of music as they learn songs in these styles. GRADING: Students will be assigned grades based on their mastery of concepts as demonstrated by in class activities as well as written and performance tests. Students will also be assigned a grade based on participation. Occasional homework assignments and research topics may be assigned. Points will be deducted for late assignments. RULES AND EXPECTATIONS: I have high expectations for student behavior and achievement. 1. Follow Directions and School Policies 2. Use Appropriate Language and Tone of Voice 3. Respect Others and Property 4. Be Kind and Caring to Others I adhere to the consequences established by the Middle School teachers.
