What do I have to wear for PE class?
The SGM Logo PE uniform of gray shorts and navy blue shorts will be required for the 2009-2010 school year and are available at Just Me Apparel. Grades K/1/2: Must wear tennis shoes Grades 3/4/5: Must wear tennis shoes. Must change into gray SGM Logo PE T-Shirt purchased from Just Me Apparel. Optional change into navy blue SGM logo PE shorts purchased from Just Me Apparel or solid navy blue sweatpants. Grades 6/7/8: Must wear tennis shoes. TEACHER EXPECTATIONS: PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASS BEGINS THE MOMENT THE STUDENTS ARE PICKED UP AT THEIR CLASSROOM AND CONTINUES UNTIL THE STUDENTS RETURN TO THEIR NEXT PERIOD CLASS. STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE TO AND FROM CLASS QUIETLY. THEIR CONDUCT GRADE WILL THEREFORE INCLUDE A REFLECTION OF THIS BEHAVIOR. 1. REQUIRED to wear athletic tennis shoes. Please check the "Supply List" for uniform requirements. 2. Participates actively or to one's potential 3. Demonstrates sportsmanlike conduct 4. Safely uses equipment 5. Attentively listens during instructional sessions 6. Demonstrates cooperative behavior and respect for all individuals 7. Follows instructions immediately 8. Neatly and accurately completes all written assignments and turns them in at the appointed time 9. Grades 6-8: A written test will be given at the end of each quarter on material provided on the health study guide. GRADING POLICY: All grades will be based on achieving the teacher expectations listed above. I have high expectations for the students and use the same letter grades in physical education as they receive in their core subjects.Back to Top
What if I can't participate due to a medical condition?
MEDICAL INFORMATION: 1. If your child has any health. problems (allergies, heart conditions, seizures, asthma, etc.), please inform the office immediately and the information will be passed on to me. 2. A written note is required if your child cannot participate in P.E. due to illness or injury.Back to Top
