How much homework can I expect?

Mr. Ryan assigns homework almost nightly.  I strive to keep the assignments short (about 20 
minutes).  Homework usually involves 20 minutes of reading and taking notes over assigned 
reading.  Mr. Ryan will provide three examples of how to take notes.

How often do we take tests?

Mr. Ryan tries to assign test about every 3 weeks, or whenever we finish a chapter.

How often do we do labs?

Mr. Ryan strives to provide a "hands-on" activity almost daily.  Some lab work is very formal where 
you will have a lab packet to complete.  Some labs simply require experimentation and 
communication of data with classmates.

Is the science fair mandatory?

Yes. Participating in the St. Gerard Majella Science Fair is mandatory for seventh graders and will be 
counted toward your grade.
