Grades

PARENTS PLEASE NOTE: Changes may occur to assignments during actual class instruction and those changes may not always be listed on this page. I will make every effort to keep homework postings current, but to be on the safe side, ALWAYS refer to your child's Assignment Notebook.

Explanation of my homework and grading procedures

Typically there is less homework in Religion than in other classes. Most of what we will do will be done together during class time. Each student is responsible for recording his or her homework in the Assignment Notebook each day. If written homework is assigned it will be collected and/or checked on the day it is due. No credit will be given for late daily homework (except in the case of an excused absence.)

Student’s quarter and semester grades will be based on their achievement in the following areas:

DAILY ASSIGNMENTS: 30%

JOURNAL: Will be graded as a Test:

Weekly Entries: One to two sentence summary of the main idea of the priest's homily at 1) Every Middle School Level Mass, 2) Every All School Liturgy ...To facilitate this a Mass Schedule will be provided.

At the end of the quarter the homily writings will be averaged together and counted as a test grade.
