As your child’s Religion Teacher this year I am pleased to partner with you
as together we nourish and deepen your child’s relationship with God.
A little background.....I have a B.A. in English from Maryville University and
a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University/ New Orleans.
I've taught Religion to first graders and high school seniors and literally
every grade level in between. I am also a vowed religious sister, a member
of the Society of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary (DHM).
Parents are their child’s first and most important teachers and as such you
have modeled for your middle school student a love of God and Church.
It is my mission this year to cultivate and strengthen that important bond
you have helped your child forge with his or her Creator. We will do this
through prayer, study and reflection. Our classroom activities will be
varied and interesting, utilizing technology, verbal skills, reflection
skills, and individual creativity to underline the fact that our God is
compassionate and giving and that our shared faith is real and living.
