We will create our classroom rules together during the first week of school. Your child will be receiving a lot of praise and positive reinforcement during the year. We have a green, yellow, and red discipline program that we use to encourage good choices. Each child begins the day on a green light. If a child chooses not to follow our classroom rules, then he or she will be given two reminders to get back on task. If negative behavior persists, his or her status changes to a yellow light. If the behavior is continued, after many tries to redirect, his or her status will change to a red light. At that point, I will send home a note, so you can follow up at home. I feel it is important for us to work together when addressing behavior.
