Please Read Carefully
Extra Credit Reading is a voluntary project for both students and
teachers. It is designed to encourage recreational reading and also to
provide a means for students to give their grades a small boost. Extra
credit reading should be used only by students who have completed all
classroom assignments. An extra credit book report can be used in only one
class, however a student may read a second book and complete the required
report for extra credit to be used in a second class. For example, a
student could read one book to use in English, and a second book to use in
History. This extra credit opportunity must not be done in place of
class assignments. Since this is a voluntary project for the faculty also,
students should know which of their teachers will be participating in the
Extra Credit Reading project.
