Test taking tips for MAY 1 Science MCT2 test 2012 *****Check out my Links page for extra study material ****** 1. Make sure you are ready for the test both MENTALLY and PHYSICALLY. Get plenty of sleep ( about 8 hours maybe even more. you know how much sleep you need to feel refreshed). You cannot focus well if you are tired. 2. Eat a healthy breakfast with protein 3. Be calm about the test, and don't be afraid. ( Trust in yourself ) MOTIVATE YOURSELF 4. Listen carefully to the final instructions of the teacher. ( How much time do you have to take the test? Are there any corrections, additions, or changes to the test? 5. Begin the test immediately and watch the time carefully. Don't spend too much time answering one question that you run out of time before answering others. 6. Read all the questions carefully, paying special attention to the key words. Read the question carefully; be sure you understand what the question is asking you to do, and what all parts of the answer should be. 7. Make sure that you read all of your answer choices before marking an answer. Use the process of elimination to help you figure out your answer. 8. Think before you mark an answer. 9. Bring 2 no. 2 pencils for your test. 10. If time permits recheck your work to make sure that you answered all questions. Secondly, make sure that you have rechecked over the questions that you thought were difficult.
