The following items are a list of projects, presentations, or assignments considered acceptable documentation for meeting the listed MOD objectives. Where multiple items are listed, it is acceptable to choose ONE.

  • Present a PowerPoint of your  creation that provides examples of the 6 types of graphic organizers and examples / explanations of their usefulness
  • Create a brochure on the 6 types of graphic organizers and how to use each
  • A video of you using 4 of the 6 types of graphic organizers

 

10C13; 11C17; 12C13

 

  • Create a brochure / pamphlet on appropriate communication and social skills.  Include examples of A-D* , Do’s/Don’ts and benefits of use
  • A recorded demonstration of appropriate communication and social skills along with examples that demonstrate inappropriate communication and social skills; must address A-D*

·        Remain employed in school-based enterprise until its conclusion.  Must not be fired for any infraction that violates the objectives listed in the portfolio for 10C18

·        Maintain and organize his job placement portfolio with minimal direction from teachers.  The portfolio must contain the information listed in MOD portfolio under 10C19 A-J

March 23- 27

Each student will receive a prescription sheet for meeting requirements of MOD objectives

March 9-13

The MOD class has begun working on the final phase of the school year. During this 9 week period the students will learn the hiring process by actively partcipating in it.

March 9

The final day to pick up an application for employment in the school based enterprise

March 10

All applications are due. Students will be given their interview slots for March 11 or 12.

March 11

Students begin interviews with panel of evaluators.

March 12

Students finish interviews with panel of evaluators.

March 13

Students will be notified of employment status via email

March 2-6

Students have returned to School Based Enterprise. SBE is the primary focus during this time but students not participating should continue to work in the JumpStart booklet. Remaining assignments from previous week should be completed first. Students who have finished assignments should continue to read and work from the JumpStart curriculum. February 23-27

10C20 - Successful demonstration of work skills through school based enterprise

11C25, 11C26 (A-E) - Working well with others; customer service skills

12C18, 12C19, 12C20 (A-D) - Demonstration of personal skills and knowledge related to employment.

Monday 16

Students will work from Jumpstart booklet reading and completing Section 4 pg. 13-16.

Tuesday 17

Students will read Case Study #3 on pgs. 18 and 19. Read and Complete the questions on pgs. 19 - 22. Pg. 22 should be copied to their notebooks and done at home. Turn this in on Thursday.

Wednesday 18

Students will begin section 4 pg. 23. Skip to pg. 25 and read and complete Part 4 section 1 on pg. 25 and 26.

Thursday 19

Students will begin reading Section 2 of Part 4 on pg. 26 and then complete the activity on pg. 28. Students should turn in homework assignment from pg. 22 before leaving.

Friday 20

Students will complete the activity on the bottom of pg. 28 Creating Flyers and Signs. The students must check each others' work using the checklist on pg. 29. The use of graphics from the computer is allowed only if the picture is not a registered trademark or established logo.

February 2-6

The plans from the previous week shall be followed starting with Tuesday, as the students were only able to complete Part 1 of the Section 1.

Objective: To walk students through the process of enterprise, using the JumpStart to Business Curriculum (this curriculum will be worked through daily but a limited supply of books prevents the students from carrying the books home)
