Please Note: Bottled water will be allowed on the bus.
No gum is allowed.
Do not stand or put knees in the seat or sit on the armrest
You must have earphones for all music or games.
No DVD players will be allowed.
We will provide movies to watch.
Wednesday, April 16
5:30 a.m. Arrive at the band hall
5:45 a.m. Roll Call
6:00 a.m. Load trailer
6:15 a.m. Load busses
Uniforms will be checked as students load.
Have all uniform parts ready to show.
6:30 a.m. Leave for Pearl
Stop at rest area on the way. (Vaiden)
9:30 a.m. Arrive at Pearl High School.
Leave all cell phones on the bus – Do not take them with you!
Unload equipment and get back on the busses. When we unload in front of
the high school, the drummers will need to follow Mr. Burnham backstage
to unload the percussion instrument.
10:00 a.m. Go to the warm-up room.
11:00 a.m. Play concert.
Sight read.
Get ratings.
Hang your uniform up correctly in its bag so that you have everything you need for the
performance in Florida.
When we reload equipment, it is very important that the instruments going to Florida are put on
the bus and the instruments coming back are put on the trailer. This also applies to flag and
drum major uniforms. Instruments should be marked that are going to Florida.
12:30 p.m. Leave for Northpark Mall
Eat lunch, relax.
3:30 p.m. Leave mall for Mobile.
Have all items (including a change of clothes, personal hygiene items in
zip lock bags, medications, wash cloth, etc.) near your seat in your carry
on backpack. We will not open the luggage bays during driver rest stops.
7:00 p.m. Dinner stop and change drivers at Eastern Shore Centre
Spanish Fort, AL. Eat a big meal here. We will not be stopping for food until we get
to Orlando.
9:00 p.m. Back on busses
11:00 p.m. Same Gender Seating WITHOUT Being Asked to Move!
There will be driver breaks along the way as the driver needs. We will not
be unloading the busses for food breaks during these stops.
Set watches up one hour (Eastern Daylight Savings Time)

Thursday, April 17
6:30 a.m. Arrive at Okahumpka Service Plaza (mile marker 299) outside of Orlando.
Bus 1 will eat while bus 2 uses the bathrooms to freshen up and change.
While bus 2 eats, bus 1 will change and freshen up.
8:00 a.m. Leave for Magic Kingdom
8:30 a.m. Arrive at Magic Kingdom. Meet our tour guide. Students stay on the bus
until we have all tickets passed out. YOU MUST KEEP UP WITH
YOUR PARK AND MEAL TICKETS. NO ONE ELSE CAN USE
YOUR TICKET BUT YOU!!
While in Magic Kingdom, make arrangements with your chaperone about meeting times. Enjoy the
park. You will have to pay for your meal in the park.
5:45 p.m. Everyone meet at the Ferry boat landing (outside front gate of Magic Kingdom)
and ride ferry together back to the bus parking lot.
6:00 p.m. Load busses for hotel.
6:30 p.m. Check into the hotel: Extended Stay Deluxe

Room captains will meet with their chaperone to get their room key and number.
Leave your uniform on the bus.
Change, rest, and relax.
8:15 p.m. Load busses for Planet Hollywood.
Nice school clothes, NO CAPS!!
Your choices will be: Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich, Hamburger, Cheeseburger, BBQ
Pork Sandwich, Pasta Pomodoro or Grilled Caesar Salad. All sandwiches are served with fries.
The meal includes unlimited soft drinks, coffee or iced tea and chef’s selection of dessert.
10:15 p.m. Load busses for Hotel
Be VERY careful of the noise level when you return to your hotel room.
Room check and lights out.
Friday, April 18 PERFORMANCE DAY
6:30 a.m. Wake up call. (Your chaperone will come by your room to wake you, do not open
your room door until your chaperone has been by).
Breakfast at the hotel is included in the trip. You may have to take your food to your
room to eat if it is crowded in the breakfast room.
8:00 a.m. Load busses for Epcot
Make sure you have all uniform parts with you (they should still be on the bus.)
Make sure you have your park ticket and meal tickets.
9:00 a.m. Busses will drop us off at Epcot main entrance
12:30 p.m. Disney youth lunch/Dinner meal coupon is valid for ONE dinner at participating
restaurants located within Epcot.
You might want to eat something before we meet at 6:00 for the parade.
6:00 p.m. Meet Disney Guest Talent Host at the Cappuccino Cart to the left of Italy in the
World Showcase (see map)
No cameras or cell phone cameras are allowed backstage!!!
(They will take it and they do not have to give it back. Put them in your backpack and
DO NOT bring them out)
We will be accompanied backstage to meet our busses.
Change into uniforms.
Unload equipment, warm-up, practice.
7:30 p.m. Worldfest Parade begins. (see map)
Reload equipment, change out of uniforms, go back to the park.
Eat supper, you pay for this one.
9:00 p.m. Illuminations begins, park closes after show, go back to the parking lot to get
on the busses. (The busses will not be backstage, but in the bus parking lot)
Back to hotel – Be VERY careful of the noise level when we return to the hotel
Have everything packed and ready to be loaded Saturday morning.
11:00 p.m. Room check – lights out.
Saturday, April 19
6:30 a.m. Wake up call. (Your chaperone will come by your room to wake you, do not open
your room door until your chaperone has been by.)
Breakfast at the hotel is included in the trip. You may have to take your food to your
room to eat if it is crowded in the breakfast room.
8:00 a.m. Bring luggage to the busses. Turn in your room key to your chaperone.
Your rooms will be checked by your chaperone before we leave. Make sure you do not
leave anything and that there is no damage to your room.
8:30 a.m. Leave for Animal Kingdom
12:30 p.m. Disney youth lunch/Dinner meal coupon is valid for ONE dinner at participating
restaurants located within Animal Kingdom.
EVERYONE SHOULD BE AT DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS BY 4:00 AT THE LATEST!!!
USE DISNEY TRANSPORTATION TO GET FROM ANIMAL KINGDOM TO HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
6:00 p.m. Supper, you pay for this one
8:50 p.m. Be in line for Fantasmic!
9:15 p.m. Gates open for Fantasmic!
10:00 p.m. Watch Fantasmic!
10:30 p.m. Load busses and head for Oxford.
There will be some drivers’ stops on the way back.
Return route will be I 75 to Atlanta, I 20 to Birmingham, Hwy 78 to Tupelo, and Hwy 6 to Oxford.
Sunday, April 19
8:00 a.m. Breakfast stop somewhere on the way.
Eat a big breakfast, we will not stop again to eat
2:00 p.m. Arrive at Lafayette High School.
Unload bus, put up uniforms.

Please remember that you represent our school, community, band program and most importantly your
own family. We expect you to take this responsibility seriously and act accordingly. Remember
that this is a school trip and all school rules and guidelines concerning behavior and student
responsibility will be strictly adhered to. We are looking forward to a very positive and
rewarding experience. The following guidelines are listed to serve as a reminder of what will
be expected.
Guideline
1. Follow instructions. Have the schedule with you! You are responsible for being on
time! (To be early, is to be on time. To be on time, is to be late. To be late, is
unacceptable)
2. No student is to be out of the room after room check.
3. There will be no girls in boys’ room or boys in girls’ rooms at any time.
4. Make any phone calls from cell phones to avoid room charges at check out.
The room phones are not to be used.
5. Any damage to the room or missing property will be your responsibility. This has never
been a problem.
6. Any actions that would result in embarrassment to our school or community will require a
phone call home to your parents by the directors and possible travel arrangements home. There
will also be a follow up with disciplinary action provided for under school policy.
You will be issued one ticket. DO NOT LOSE IT!! Your ticket cannot be used by
any one else. You will also receive a lunch voucher for Friday and Saturday. Make
sure you keep these in a safe place.
ITEMS TO BRING:
1. Instrument
2. Uniform, black socks, black shirt to wear under uniform, black socks.
3. Meal money (Wed: Lunch and Supper) – (Thurs: Breakfast and Lunch) – (Fri.: Supper) –
(Sat: supper) – (Sunday: Breakfast). The total meals that you will have to pay for are 7. All
other meals are paid for in the trip cost.
***$75.00 should be a minimum range for food**
4. WEAR A WATCH!!!
5. Light rain gear - preferably something with a hood. (it rains almost every afternoon in
Orlando)
6. Comfortable clothes within school guidelines. Use your backpack to carry tickets and
other personal items with you. It will be checked every time you enter one of the parks. You
may bring caps to wear in the park.
7. Alarm clock (use the one on your phone).
8. Limit luggage to ONE (1) PIECE OF LUGGAGE PER PERSON. Make sure you have a name tag on
your luggage. Share hair dryers and other items with roommates. Have one change of clothes for
overnight bus ride with personal items in zip lock bag. Use your backpack.
9. Picture ID
10. Extra glasses, contacts.
11. SUNSCREEN
12. All movies will be provided by the directors
13. Bottled water will be allowed on the bus, but no soft drinks or snacks.
14. Cell phone chargers ( you will not be allowed to charge them on the bus )
