Drama
by: Arnissa Tyson
Drama can follow you where ever you go
It can involve whomever you know
Friends turn to enemies
Teams lose their chemistry
Fights break out
Everyone shouts
Drama, drama, drama
Who knows when it's coming?
What Happened
by: Brittany Grant
so easily torn apart
with just one incident
some lies thrown in with disrespect
if I could I'd take it back
but that's impossible
one mistake
a life changes
never to be the same again
I can say I'm sorry
but it's not good enough
you wouldn't listen anyways
just think that little of me
we all make mistakes
why such a punishment for me?
I didn't do it alone
I wasn't the only one in that room
I wasn't the only one that pulled disrespect
but of course
you don't know about that
it doesn't matter though
because no matter what i say
what happened can't be taken away
but I would
just to keep a friend
I wouldn't do it just to have my life back
or to take the guilt away
nope
I'd undo it all
just ot have my friend back
What the War has done
by: Tori Miller
I return home
to a disastrous sight.
houses, towns, buildings, burning,
burning bright with fire.
Burnt to ashes,
from a fire within,
oh how I would've hated
to be here then.
I find bodies
and buildings, galore,
covered in moss and blood and gore.
Mother Nature's trying
to restore her own,
while taking from women,
and children their homes.
She, wars, and men,
take them with glee.
They have no heart
to hear their pleas.
While I was
away at war,
all I wished,
was to be home once more.
Now I can't
what they went through
Those cruel beasts
don't know what they've done.
I'll track every last one of 'em
'till each one of 'em's gone
I have no room
in my heart for mercy,
for that is what
the war's done to me
Love and Broken Hearts
by: Dimitri McIintosh
The pain of a broken heart is almost comparable to the loss of a mother.
For no one can replace her. No one. No other
It will take a mighty long time to heal.
Or then again, it may never will.
The pain either hardens inside of you, making you cold to the world.
Or it builds inside of you like a volcano ready to implode on the world.
Love will make you do things you couldn't imagine.
As in stealing gold from people, like you were Aladdin.
Love will make you say "I love you" constantly.
Then it will make you say, beg, "Do you love me?"
The moment your heart is broken, not another word is spoken.
From A Dreamby: Jimmy Vanderford
From a dream that gets us lost in the perception of endless time, I only wish it could last forever through my eyes. You couldn't find the greatest of technology that had the ability to hold the life story and dreams of a single human mind. Dreams can create ideas however big you want, write stories at any length, and imagine greater distances that have ever been thought before. Each night, I dream of passing through glowing blue street lights and blurry flashing neon sighs in an endless star lit night on a road that seems to never stop. I just keep moving forward, which I guess anyone can use in their life. I'd rather those people find out their own way to describe their life...their purpose...their destiny...their legacy. Cause dreams are made of these, who am I to disagree?
