Parents;
Please encourage your children to speak correctly. If they misprounce a word
just say it correctly once after them. They may be working on that sound or
group of sounds but are not at the conversation level. So, the input of the
word said correctly is the nudge they need. Do not make fun of their speech
or "talk it back to them" as they said it. They are working hard to improve
their ability to speak correctly. There are steps they take to get to the
final outcome so please bear with them as they work. Right now we are
working on oral motor movements. They can watch themselves in the mirror as
they work the tongue, lips, and throat. You may want to do them with them.
