We are on Regular Bell Schedule Tuesday October 7, 2008.
Congratulations to the RHS band who earned All- superior ratings this weekend at the State Marching Band Festival at Pearl. These ratings earn them an invitation to compete in the State Marching Band Championships at the end of the month.
That night at the Pearl Marching Band Invitational, they finished 2nd behind Madison Central, and earned several special awards including1st place color guard, 2nd place percussion, a tie for first place in General Effect, 2nd place in Music performance, and a 2nd place in Marching Performance.
RHS would like to congratulate Joey Mena for qualifying for an Honorable Mention award in the College Board's National Hispanic Recognition Program! Congrats Joey!
Your Lady Titan Volleyball team will be featured on WJTV, channel 12 Wednesday night at 6:00 & 10:00. Be sure to tune in! We also want to wish these ladies and Coach Johnson lots of luck as they travel to Bay St. Louis to play Our Lady Academy in round 2 of playoffs tonight at 6:00.
Softball is a rain out today and has been rescheduled for Thursday. Teachers please use the list in your box for Thursday’s class dismissal.
Millsaps College will be hosting a "Student & Parent Information Night" on Thursday evening from 6:30-8:00 pm on the Millsaps campus. The program will include information about college admissions, scholarships, & financial aid. Light refreshments will be served and the dress is casual. If interested in attending, please stop by the Counselors Office for more information!
Social Committee of FACES: please meet in room 128 during break on Wednesday. This is a mandatory meeting.
Key Club will meet Wednesday at 7:45 am in Mrs. Pearcy’s room 229. All members need to be there! There are many things happening and you need to be sure to attend.
Mu Alpha Theta will meet Thursday morning at 7:45 am in room 225.

There will be a recruiter from the US Army outside the cafeteria today during lunch to meet with interested students.
Seniors: Here are a few deadlines from Mrs. Williams and the TITAN yearbook staff. Senior pictures must be taken by October 31 - no exceptions. Senior specials must be purchased by October 31. Please remind your parents. You will be getting senior quote forms and senior surveys from your English teachers soon, very soon. Be thinking of a brilliant quote for the yearbook.
The seventh annual TITAN talent show will be Monday, November 10. Mrs. Williams will begin a sign-up sheet soon. This is an announcement for you to begin thinking of which talent you would like to showcase in our production. More details soon to follow.
Students: WYAB is sponsoring a contest to feature your Mom as ‘Titan Mom of the Week. Register your mom and have a chance to win a make-up makeover given away weekly and if you are one of the 11 lucky moms chosen you could win the grand prize of a hair, spa and make-up package valued at $150.00. Last week’s winner was Tango Hawkins.
Youth Leadership Jackson, the premier program for the Greater Jackson Metro Area including Hinds, Madison and Rankin Counties, is now accepting applications for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. If you are interested in applying, please pick up a packet from Student Services. The deadline for submitting your application packet is October 17th.
Mu Alpha Theta is offering tutoring to assist students with their math problems. The schedule is as follows: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 7:40–8:10 and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:30. All tutoring sessions occur in room 225.
