GWAM scale, sample Resume, and two-letter state abbreviations

ASSIGNMENTS:
PLEASE WORK THE ASSIGNMENTS IN ORDER.
DO NOT PRINT UNTIL INSTRUCTED.
YOU CAN REDO YOUR WORK AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE BEFORE YOU PRINT.
DO NOT PRINT IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 5 ERRORS.
HOWEVER, ALL ERRORS SHOULD BE CORRECTED WHEN COMPLETING DOCUMENT ASSIGNMENTS.

CLASSROOM GUIDELINES:
1.  $5.00 Computer fee - due by August 31
2.  Bring a 3-ring binder (notebook) and a pen to class EVERY DAY.
3.  Keep all handouts and graded papers in the binder/notebook.
3.  Please ask for permission to talk in class.
4.  Sign the clipboard when all assignments have been completed.
5.  At the end of each class - log off, restart, place the book in the desk, 
    straighten the work station, and push up the chair.


TECHNIQUE CHECK LIST:
1.  Sit up straight in the chair (spine straight) - feet on the floor
2.  Keyboard should be at the edge of the table
3.  Curve fingers over home row
4.  Only use the right thumb on the space bar
5.  Use the correct finger to strike the keys
6.  EYES ON COPY - Do not look at the keys when striking them
7.  Arms parallel to the keyboard - wrists low - palms not resting
7.  Proper use of all equipment and the internet are required.
8.  Prepare the work station for the next student at the end of class
9.  Use good manners
10. Be patient
11. Center your body between the g and h on the keyboard.

HOMEWORK:
Students need to collect Resume information at home.  We will key the Resume 
in class. Students will receive an example Resume to keep in their notebooks.

WHAT TO DO AFTER ASSIGNMENTS ARE COMPLETE:
1.  See if you need to redo your lesson before you print.
2.  Practice the keyboard if needed
3.  Sign the clip board
4.  Study handouts
5.  Read a book
6.  Homework for another class
7.  Play computer games (not internet games)

HELPFUL REMINDERS:
1.  Key all textbook drill lines twice - DO NOT BACKSPACE
    Include a header
2.  DO NOT BACKSPACE when keying drill lines and timed writings
3.  SAVE all assignments
4.  Proof all work
5.  The GWAM scale will be used to grade timed writings and MTP lessons 
6.  You can redo timed writings and MTP lessons BEFORE YOU PRINT as many    
    times as you like. 
7.  YOU GET 5 FREE ERRORS on Timed Writings and MTP lessons.
         All errors over 5 that the student circles will count off 5 points
         each.  When the teacher finds errors you did not find, the error 
         will count off twice as much.
8.  PRINT ONLY WHEN INSTRUCTED.
