scholarship application for

ESF's GET2COLLEGE scholarship, Pay It Forward, awards 50 Mississippi seniors $1,000 scholarships each year. All seniors who plan to attend college are eligible to apply. Requirements include a completed application and an essay. You can complete the application and submit it and essay online at www.get2college.org
or email it or pick up an application in the guidance office. Deadline is December 1st. You can also register to win an IPAD on this website which will also be given away on December 1st.
Horatio Alger Association offers scholarships to seniors who have at least a 2.0 GPA and are involved in school and community activites. Students need to have financial need (less than $55,000 adjusted gross family income) and display integrity and perseverance in overcoming an adversity. Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program is a collaboration between Ole Miss and Mississippi State for students interested in teaching English or mathematics in Mississippi. All students who enter program make a five-year commitment to teach in Mississippi after graduation. Applicants will need a 28 ACT composite score and a 3.5 GPA. Applications are available at www.metp.org
Students selected receive full scholarships for tuition, room and board, $1,000 stipend to purchase a laptop, $6,000 to student abroad or at another top-performing school in the U S., and field experiences. Priority deadline is January 15, 2014. Check the website for further information.

BETA CLUB MEMBERS: Seniors who were members of the South Panola High School Beta Club as of June 30, 2013 are eligible to apply for a National Beta Scholarship. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $15,000 and semifinalists will be notified the week of January 6th if they proceed to Phase 2. Scholarship winners will be announced by the end of March 2014. Deadline to apply is November 20th. Members will need their membership identification number and chapter information. for South Panola and certify their application. This student will be entered in the state competition. LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
First Security Bank will award a $500 scholarship to a senior at South Panola High School. To receive a chance at this scholarship, take your report card to any bank location if you receive an "A." Every "A" earns a separate entry into the scholarship drawing. Drawings will be held in May and the student from SPHS who wins will be notified at our Award's Ceremony. Students may enter each nine weeks that they receive an "A."
