Art IV students are very small in number but great in talent!!!This year I 
happen to have just ONE  ArtIV student!!!!The Art IV student is self 
motivated and enjoys what he/she is doing. It is a 
joy to watch each create and grow.  These students will be working on 
developing their style, technique and getting portfolios ready for 
presentation to colleges for scholarship.
 Practice! Practice! Practice!!!!
Course Description:  This course focuses on the creation of a portfolio for 
use in the pursuit of higher education or career opportunities.  Building on 
concepts and skills acquired in prerequisite courses --Visual Arts I,II,and 
III,Dawing and Painting-- students will work at a sophisticated level 
applying their knowledge of production, critical analysis, history and 
culture, aesthetics, and connections among the viusal arts, and other content 
areas, and everyday life.  Prerequisite requirement may be waived upon 
teacher recommendatio based on a review of a body of work demonstrating 
accomplishmnet of Visual Arts I, II, and III competencies.  Work will 
encompass two and three-dimensional media, techniques and processes.

First 9wks will be devoted to getting the college bound portfolio ready. 
The student will investicate career opportunities and prospective schools of 
higher education availiable to them in their field of interest.
Keep those grades up for the National Art Honor Society Association. Now it 
not the time to goof off!
