THE ASSURE MODEL:

A-This WebQuest is developed for a 5th grade Social Studies, but can be 
  adapted for use up until the 7th grade.
S-Students will be able to identify customs, way of life, and history of the 
  Cherokee Indians.
  Students will be able to describe the Trail of Tears and the role the 
  Cherokee played. 
  Students will be able to utilize the World Wide Web, and other sources for 
  research.
S-Independent research of books, documentaries and other sources,as well as, 
  viewing of sites on the World Wide Web provided in the WebQuest are the 
  instructional methods, media and materials used in this lesson.
U-Students will access these materials in their school media center or the 
  Public Library.
R-Students will actively research and create original materials as part of 
  this lesson.
E-Students will be evaluated based on criteria provided in the Evaluation 
  Rubric and after the initial presentation of this lesson it will be 
  reviewed and assessed to determine if it needs revising.
