Hey pals,
Sounds like you guys are doing well. 50 degrees sounds cold
for me, even though it is about the same here now during the day any ways. It
got cold here real fast at night it now dips down into the 30's. What's your
hamster,s name? How long have you had him? They try hard to make the food
here like the food back home but it tastes different no matter what. The
animals like cows, chickens and sheep here all look different that American
animals. For fun out here me and a few of my friends like to work out at the
gym and go to the internet place to communicate back and forth with our
families. On the FOB (forward operating base) that I am on the American have
build a Burger King and a few coffee shops so we go there when we get a
chance. In my job we really don't have time, I only sleep on my bed maybe 10
days out of the month, every other day I usually sleep on the ground or on a
cot out by my truck. We are always on missions going from out post to out
post so we don't get much free time. Things I miss from the states is:
my family, my truck, wearing civilian clothes, and pretty much everything that
makes America. I heard about the article in the paper it was pretty exciting
actually and I am excited to see the cards you guys have made. Well I just
got back from mission this morning at 2am and I roll out for 6 days on the
night of the 17th... six days of night missions, so I’ll try and take a few
pictures through my night vision goggles to show you guys. Have fun and happy
thanks giving eat lots of turkey for me. Your solider, Nathaniel Friesen
