Announcements

Hi Fifth Graders and Parents,

We had so much fun on our Sharp Tailed Grouse field study. We had a good
guide in Gary Enneburg who showed us a dancing ground on his property. We
got to see the male grouse displaying and dancing. It was really interesting
to hear them as well. By 6:00 AM Friday, we were out by Kevin watching the
grouse with our field glasses. We still have a couple of studies, but the
weather has not been cooperating with us. We will not be doing another sleep
over because we found that we don't have to be out as early as we thought.
The kids were so well behaved at the sleep over. We watched a movie, ate
popcorn and banana bread and drank hot cocoa. By 10:30 PM the kids were
ready to go to sleep and 5 ninutes after lights off they were OUT!! Most of
them got more sleep than Carol and me!

Academically, we are working with intergers in Math. So far, the kids are
enjoying it. We wre working with the Civil War in Social Studies and Science
takes us into properties of matter and energy.

Our last midterm is going out this Friday. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to call or stop in.

Until the next update,

Dana
