Established
in 2004, this sponsorship program serves to deepen the relationship between
the school and community while supporting the on-going technology needs of the
school's Computer Lab and classrooms.. Funds received are used to enhance and
maintain the software and equipment used by the students and staff. Various
levels of sponsorship are available. We invite you to become a sponsor and
join the many families and friends who are helping to ensure a bright future
for our students.
2007 Goal - Bringing
Technology into the Classrooms
This year more classrooms will be equipped with ceiling mounted LCD projectors
wired to a computer, DVD/VCR and sound system. Realizing that the students of
today live in a media-rich environment, our teachers will address that fact
and access the internet for topics relevant to their lesson plans, show video
clips bringing topics to life, and engage all students with more interactive
online activities.
A multimedia cart with a ultra bright LCD projector, laptop computer, DVD/VCR
and sound system will be available for school use in the Thaddeus Room. A new
pull-down screen will enhance the viewing experience. This cart will also be
used in the Middle School for daily lessons.
The Math Department will begin using the MIMIO, an interactive projection and
capture device. Using a new low-gloss markerboard and a projector, math
lessons will become more interactive and subsequently printed at the end of
the lesson - providing additional resources for our students.
