Can your child type? Keyboarding, without looking at their fingers, is the backbone of our program. We practice keyboarding here in the computer lab, but the students really need to practice at home, several times a week. It's just like learning to play the piano, it takes practice.

We use a great interactive keyboarding program from Scholastic called "Type to Learn".

If you'd like to order it for home use, please send to the office a check for $14.95 made out to Scholastic. Include a note with your student's name and home room teacher and write my name on the envelope.

INSPIRATION 8.0- Help your student organize and rearrange notes by creating a web. This visual organizer quickly turns thoughts into correctly formatted outlines. We use Inspiration at school, I use it for outlining my lesson plans and my college-age kids use it for their research papers. It's a great program.
