Dear Parents/Guardians,
It is hard to believe that the first quarter has ended. I am very
pleased with the work the students have accomplished. The saint projects
were very good and all were completed on time! I hope you have the
opportunity to see the wonderful display of saints this weekend. Thank you
for your support.
A simple book report for November will be sent home. Please ask your
child to keep it in a special place at home so that it does not get lost.
The report is due on Monday, November 30th. The grading rubric is:
capitalization (15), agreement (15), punctuation (15), spelling (15),
penmanship (10), neatness (10), on time (5), and the picture(15). Do your
very best!
Also, your child will be bringing the Lucky Book Club order home.
Please order your books by Friday, November 6th. Please send the order form
and check to school.
Finally, your child is bringing home the permission slip and volunteer
letter for our first trip to Powell Symphony Hall on Tuesday, November 17th.
Please return them promptly.
I am looking forward to meeting with you during conferences on
November 10th and 12th. You will receive both the Iowa test results and the
report card. I have enjoyed the class and hope we continue to learn and grow
together.
