The major concepts and skills to master for Math in Second Grade are: 1. Number Sense 0-999 2. Place Value 3. Addition and subtraction of multi-digit numbers 4. Length, time 5. Symmetry and congruence 6. Pictographs 7. Probability experiments 8. Number sentences 9. Students will solve relevant and authentic problems using appropriate technology and apply these concepts as well as those developed in earlier years. Students will also maintain concepts from earlier years such as patterns, sort and classify, line plots and tallies.
