 SPELLING EXPECTATIONS AND WEEKLY CONTRACT
Fourth grade expectations! We wanted you to be aware of the
spelling work your child will be handing in
We will be giving a grade for all spelling. We will expect,
obviously, that the words are spelled correctly and done neatly. We
will also be taking 10 points off when it is late. Please also be
aware of how your child is completing the group C part of the
spelling contract. It is very important that they create a sentence
that makes sense, showing that they know the meaning of the word.
Ex. a)That was organized. (not showing that they understand the
 meaning of the word)
b)I could tell they used an organized plan because the story
was really understandable.(shows an understanding of the word)

~Your child is also allowed to change the ending of a word when
making a sentence.
Ex. The word is imagination if their sentence they thought of
makes
more sense when they use the word imaginative that is fine.
Please ask to see the homework to insure quality.
