Welcome to my class! I am so excited to be here at Anderson Elementary
and to be a part of this awesome school! I have been a part of the Anderson
Admirals since it has opened and I feel fortunate to be working here! I am
also fortunate in having great students! This school year should be super
and I look forward to a positive, successful year with your child.
I would first like to tell you a little about me...I have been teaching
for over 18 years and I have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood and a
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with an extension through 9th grade-
specializing in Social Studies. I also have a Masters Degree in School
Counseling. I began my career teaching 6th grade and 8th grade in New
York. I moved to Wilmington in 1997 and taught 7th grade at Roland Grise
Middle School. I took two years off to have my second child and then began
my career again in 2001 as a fourth grade teacher at Snipes Elementary. I
am now thrilled to still be a part of the faculty of Anderson Elementary for
the 2008-2009 school year!
I have been married for 17 years to my husband, Kevin. I have two
super kids. My daughter Mackenzie is an 8th grader at Myrtle
Grove Middle School and my son Kevin is a 4th grader here at Anderson! I
almost forgot...I have a great dog named Jessie. She is an awesome Yellow
Labrador who loves water and playing with the kids!
In my free time I love to hang out by the pool or go to the beach.
While I am hanging out at these cool places there is usually a book in
my hand! I LOVE to read!!!!! Reading is an adventure and can make any
boring day FUN!
I can't wait to have an exciting year filled with fun and adventure!!
