5th Grade Recognition is Wednesday, June 10th. Parents are welcome at
8:30 a.m. to take seats in the Multi-purpose room. The recognition will
begin with the procession of 5th graders (soon to be 6th graders) at 9:00 a.m.
Students are welcome to wear whatever they wish for pictures - of course, you
need to follow the dress code. This ceremony should last until 10:30 a.m.
Thanks for a great year! Best wishes in middle school!
HOW TO CORRECT A MATH TEST...
With each math test taken, students are allowed to correct their mistakes
to earn points which will be added to their original test grade.
STEP 1 - parent signs the original test
STEP 2 - on a separate piece of paper, the student writes down the problem
number that they are correcting and writes down a new answer. Please do not
change the original answer on the original test. Thanks.
STEP 3 - next to the new answer, the student writes, in a complete sentence,
why they got the problem wrong in the first place.
For example: On problem 33, I added instead of multiplying.
The students have two nights to turn in the original test signed and
the corrections. Hopefully, they will see their mistake and not repeat it on
further math assignments.
Thank you, Mrs. Adams
